There’s something in the air when the weekend rolls around in Digbeth. You can feel it as soon as you walk past the front windows at Nortons. The lights are warm, the bands likely loading in by the gate, the bar starting to fill with regulars. You just know it’s going to be one of those weekends where the hours vanish, in the best possible way!
We’ve got a stacked couple of days lined up again for you, so here’s what’s happening.
Friday: Start as you mean to go on
We’re easing into the weekend with two incredible acts.
Daniel Murphy kicks things off from 9pm, bringing that Friday lift you get when the week is finally behind you. Then Simon Boswell takes the reins til late, keeping the place rolling with the kind of covers and energy that make you forget you ever owned an alarm clock!
And as always, the pints will be creamy, and the craic will be flowing.
Saturday: Wall-to-Wall Music All Day
Saturdays are where Nortons shines and this week’s no different.
We’re starting early:
- Aidan Sullivan – 2.30pm to 4.30pm
- Rich Oliver Duo – 5pm to 7pm
- Jasper Malone – 7.30pm to 9.30pm
- On The Sesh – 10pm to 11.30pm
- And more, which will take us through til close!
It’s basically 12 hours of live music in one run, and every act brings something different. You can drift in at any point and land right in the middle of something which you will not want to step away from!
Bottomless Brunch & Sunday Roasts
If you fancy making a full day of it, Saturday bottomless brunch is still going strong. Unlimited fizz and pints with any brunch dish. No nonsense, no tiny glasses, no pretending you’re only having the one.
And don’t forget – Sunday Roasts are now offered from 12 til 5, made fresh every week with proper portions. If you haven’t tried them yet, make it down this weekend, you won’t regret it!
It’s November, but we’re just getting warmed up
Winter’s creeping in, but the craic’s only getting bigger.
Between the music, the pints, the food and the people, this weekend is shaping up to be a proper Nortons classic.
See you at the bar!
